A holiday in Agriturismo among historical villages, in Tuscany and Liguria, Italy

Agriturismo is a farm-house where you can live great holidays in Italy. Tuscany and Liguria are two neighboring regions that offer many opportunities for this kind of vacation.

Agriturismo Podere L’Olmaia is close to Marsiliana, a little town in Tuscany. Old houses and buildings, like the castle built in the Middle Age, make this town a nice place to spend a few weeks surrounded by history. You can see the Castle even from your room, cause the facility is located in a cute hill above the town.

Booking a holiday here, you can choose a spacious room or one of the two flats available. You will live your days surrounded by nature with olive trees, a nice garden, and the vineyard.  The porch is a good place to relax and have breakfast and a beautiful pool is always available to the guests.

If you prefer swimming on the sea, head to the famous beaches of Giannella and Capalbio. Take a little trip to visit Grosseto and you will be impressed by the great cathedrals like Cattedrale di San Lorenzo and Basilica del sacro Cuore di Gesù, togheter with many other churches.

Whenever you want to relax in a spa, don’t miss Saturnia thermal baths. A short distance from your agriturismo, this stunning natural hot springs will offer you amazing days. Here you can take a bath that will renew your mind and body while you enjoy the view of the country.

Also in Liguria there are many historical towns. Badalucco is a medieval village that keeps its old face with typical buildings. Go for a walk to the little pathways among the houses and discover unique corners of the village.

For your holiday here, you can stay at Agriturismo L’Adagio, an old farm that still works producing olive oil since the last century. Although olive oil is produced throughout Italy, in Liguria they have a particular kind of olive called Taggiasca. Taste the oil on a bruschetta or on your salad, and the olives itselfs are very good in most recipes as sauces or olive paste.

Agriturismo L’Adagio has two floors with great rooms for its guests. You can see the olive trees and a nice garden from your window, and the mountains as well.  The rooms are a few because the owners love to attend their guests with special attention that would be impossible in a crowded place.

There are many interesting places to visit around, like the Santuario della Madonna della Neve on Monte Carmo. The 5th of august there is a celebrating, as a legend says Our Lady healed a blind old man. He decided to build a shrine to thank her, from sixteenth century began the pilgrimage to this holy place. Although you believe the legend or not, this church is a suggestive and peaceful place to visit, surrounded by silence, but the sounds of nature.

A holiday in Agriturismo will show you the best of little towns and hide places that you will never discover in another way.
